#TheHartofChristmas - Christmas Gift Guide

22:08

Welcome back everyone to part 2 of my Christmassy series!

Today's little post is going to be something of a Christmas gift guide with a few of my favourite gifts to receive and give this season. I personally love going shopping around Christmas time - not only because of the gorgeous holiday decor throughout the shopping centres, but also to buy gifts. The things I am going to be showing you today range in price so there's definitely something to suit every budget, and I hope this gives you some inspiration. So without further ado, here are my top 3 male and female gift ideas for Christmas.

FEMALE GIFT IDEAS
1. Ambient Lighting Edit Palette - Hourglass Cosmetics
This palette is absolutely perfect for that one makeup lover in your life (you know who I'm talking about). A little bit more on the "pricey" side, it is a luxurious limited edition blush and cheek palette from Hourglass Cosmetics. In the palette, you get 3 highlighting face powders, 2 blushes, and a bronzer, and it is certainly something that if given, will put you in the good books for years to come.

2. Limited Edition Christmas Collections - The Body Shop & Lush
Again, on a beauty related side, The Body Shop and Lush do fantastic limited edition Christmas items ranging in price from affordable, to more premium products. They stock a fantastic array of scents, and pre-made Christmas gift packs perfect for any female (or male) to enjoy this Christmas. My personal favourite scent from The Body Shop this season is Frosted Cranberry - it is sweet, tangy, and absolutely delicious. If you're organised (unlike me), and have shopped for all of your Christmas presents, I definitely recommend giving this scent a sniff the next time you're near The Body Shop. As for Lush, every year I have to stock up on my all-time favourite bath bomb, Golden Wonder. It is the most luxurious bath bomb in my opinion with a few wonderful surprises inside and is always super affordable. Lord of Misrule runs a close second, but with so many to choose from, it is impossible to buy just one.

3. Ombre Blackstar Creme Shadow Stick in Beyond Gold - By Terry
Another very premium makeup product but absolutely worth the money is the ridiculously long named creme shadow stick. With 12 colours to choose from, it is not totally easy to pick a favourite, but you will be able to find the perfect colour for whoever you're giving it to. My favourite colour is Beyond Gold, which is an absolutely stunning gold shade with hints of glitter. The great thing about these sticks is how versatile and easy they are to use. I run mine all over the lid and set the creme with a similar toned eye shadow. A super dramatic look finished in under 5 minutes - it is the perfect gift for someone on-the-go a lot.

4. Peace Home Decor sign - Unknown
I think wall prints and other home decor products are the perfect gift to give this Christmas. Again, ranging in price depending on your particular budget. The awesome thing about this gift idea is the amount of leniency you have to get something really special for that particular person. Whether it be Christmas themed so that every Christmas they use it and are reminded of you, or something for all year round, it is an easy gift idea that shows you put in a little bit more effort than usual.

MALE GIFT IDEAS
1. Watch - Blaq
This gift is for the man in your life who either has great style, or needs a little help with his style. Either way, a good watch is always a winner in a man's eyes. The one shown in the picture above is from a brand called Blaq, and I thought it was rather interesting as it was rose gold - which is not a common colour for men's watches. This brand was also reasonably affordable, costing only around the $50 mark, however, depending on your budget, there are some lovely watches from G-shock, Guess, Tommy Hilfiger etc.

2. Polo Red Cologne - Ralph Lauren
Another wonderful gift to give that someone special this Christmas is cologne. A particular favourite of mine is Polo Red by Ralph Lauren, however it is definitely more on the pricey side, so if you don't have that kind of budget, there are many perfume brands that do cheaper alternatives, such as David Beckham and Calvin Klein.

3. Slushy/Waffle Machine
Now this gift may seem like an odd one, but there are some males (and females) out there who prefer the "big-kid"or hands on toys this Christmas. The good thing about either a slushy or a waffle machine is that your partner, family member, or friend (whoever you're giving this to) will totally have to make you either a slushy or a waffle, or both. A win-win in my opinion. Waffle machines are also particularly useful for students at the age of moving out of home as it has multiple uses such as a toasted sandwich (or jaffle) maker, or even a meat fryer if necessary.

So that's been my 2015 Christmas Gift Guide. Again, let me know what you'll be buying this Christmas, and whether this was helpful to you in any way. Don't forget to find me on Twitter, and Instagram (both are @hartofwriting) and tweet me with the hashtag #TheHartofChristmas.

I'll be back next week with the final part of this 3 part series,
Until then,
Gina xx
